What are munching on?

What's on your Mental plate?

Unless you live under a rock.

Were one of those weird home-schooled kids.

You have seen the Capital One credit card commercials.

No, Not the mileage one's with Jennifer Garner.

I'm talking about the "What's in your wallet" one's.

They feature the baddest MF'er to ever say MF'er, Samuel L. Jackson.

Except today, I want to know what's on your plate.

Your mental plate (said in my best Samuel L. Jackson voice).

What do I mean?

I mean what are you feeding your brain?

What TV show's are you watching?

What books are you reading?

Here's a partial list of the books that are

on my desk in front of me right now.

  • "Let Every Breath... Secrets of The Russian Breath Masters" by Vladimir Vasiliev
  • "Education Automation" by R. Buckmister Fuller
  • "Mastery" by George Leonard
  • "The Slight Edge" by Jeff Olson
  • "The 4-Hour Body" by Tim Ferris
  • "The Human Use of Human Beings" by Dr. Norbert Weiner
  • "Story Driven" by Bernadette Jiwa
  • "The Structure of Magic" by Richard Bandler and John Grinder
  • "Psychological Nudity" by Michael Savage

  • "The Man Who Tapped The Secrets of The Universe" by Glenn Clark

As I said. This is only a partial list.

What are you reading, listening, watching? Is it good stuff?

Or is junk food. You know that there is junk food for your mind right?

If we are physically what we eat.

Then it stands to reason that we are mentally what our mind consumes.

I've got loads of book suggestions for your mental plate. They are yours for the asking.

Own The Day!

Today's message is hitting very close to home.

It's a personal one.

And today's message is...

Everyone has bad days. We all have days where it's hard to get out of bed.

You know those days. When it's cold. It's raining.

And actually...

where it's cold and rainy is inside your head. It's cold and chilly in our psyche.

But here's the thing...

Just as the sun will come shining through. Even if it's after a few days. You will get through this.

So everyone has bad days.

It's how you respond to them.

Can you dust yourself off?

Can you get back up?

Will you suit up and show up?

Do the work...

Quantity always comes before quality.

Wait. What?

Yes. You heard me. Quantity always come before quality.

Because to produce anything of quality you have to practice.

For instance...

From the time you were 6 or 7 months old you woke up every day with one goal. To walk!

But, the truth is...

It took most of us 5-6 months of practice. (i.e. falling down and getting up over and over and over again.) Until we could wobble.

We then continue to "practice" until the day arrived years later when we could walk with ease.

Listen... there is very little one-shot learning in life.

Everything worthwhile takes loads of focused practice to get.

Often the best "life-hack" is to show up daily and do the work.

Let the games begin!

Let the games begin!

he was sharing about what wine he was drinking lately and he said Turley Zinfandel it's undervalued and he was put on to the wine by his Master Sommelier friend. My head spun around because I’d first had a Turley Zinfandel in 1997. (The Petite Sirah’s are more coveted btw…)
